A second-year newcomer has often already achieved a great deal but may still have clear gaps. Schools may also have questions about suitable teaching for a newcomer in years 1 and 2. This page brings together support and useful resources.

To help answer questions about Dutch as a second language, the partnership makes Westfriese Knoop specialists available. Support can include knowledge sharing with a team or teacher, advice on teaching provision, aftercare for pupils from the newcomer class or support in developing language policy.
